Academic Load

Undergraduates

The normal load for full time Social Science or Humanities majors is 16 credit hours per semester.  Science, Computer Science and Engineering are entitled to 18 credit hours.

Students may apply to take an overload up to 21 credit hours.  The student's previous record and the permission of the department chair are necessary for approval.  Freshman and Sophomore students are not allowed to take more than their normal load.

ENGL 100 Students

Students registering for ENGL 100 may not take more than seven (7) credits during the fall or spring semester.

Graduates

The normal load for full time graduate students is 9-12 credit hours per semester. They may register for up to 15 credit hours upon the recommendation of their department of major.
