From the Core Curriculum Office - Registration for Seminar 200

 

Only Applied to students who joined AUC and Declared Their Majors before Spring 2004

 

Students who are overdue for Seminar 200 have been put on hold, and will be unable to proceed with registration on the Web before going through the following procedure:

Once this category of students have completed their advising procedure and cleared their “Advising Hold” from their department of major, they are to present themselves to the Core Office to have their hold cleared, and register for Seminar 200 or one of the Substitution courses regardless of their Advising /Registration schedule.

Students who are not overdue for Seminar 200, and thus not on hold, may proceed normally with registration of the course on the Web. However, students who opt for one of the Substitution courses must register for it through the Core Office.  Otherwise it will not be recorded in their audit reports as a substitution course, and will be considered as an elective. They have to proceed to the core office following their Advising/Registration schedule.

 

Please note the following:

 

  1. You cannot REGISTER for a Substitute course for Core Seminar 200 except through the Core Curriculum Office.  If you do so it will be counted as an elective.

  2. You cannot DROP a Substitute course for Core Seminar 200 except with the approval of the Core Advisor.

  3. You cannot change a Substitute course for Core Seminar 200 except through the Core Curriculum Office.  If you do so it will be counted as an elective.

  4. You cannot register in a course as a Substitute for Core Seminar 200 once the Core quota is finished, even if the course is still open. If you do so it will be counted as an elective.

  5. You cannot register for a Substitute course for Core Seminar 200 if the course is part of your major, minor, or your collateral requirements.

  6. You cannot use a transfer course to fulfill any of Seminar 200 substitute courses
